The food system is the time when food is being produced in the field the process goes through all the way until the food is lunch or your plate. And join that time the food all the products go down through a number of processes including harvesting, transportation, processing that can affect the quality of food on your plate.

I am gonna tell you about people who are actually changing the world on our behalf and then leave you to call for action.
So the first part is the farmers. There are so many concerns when the interest in time. The 1st part is for the food system in the US we got farmers and ranches growing food for us. A certain number of entities and we got to have a smaller number of that actually processing the food and then we got restaurants and retailers that get the food to us.
The second part of it is this if you want to get your energy from a chocolate chip cookie. You would be paying a dollar and if you are the same amount of energy from a carrot you would be paying six times as much. So obviously both of them are providing the same amount of energy but a very different amount of nutrition.

Part three please pay attention this is our neighborhood, the community of our economy if you look at comparable neighborhoods comparable in economic wealth and you look at dominantly white neighborhoods and the privilege of supermarkets and grocers stores in white neighborhoods for dominantly white neighborhoods.

Maybe the local government is something doing about this. These are results of the national survey as can local governments are doing anything about the food system and got people can to get healthy food. 1% across the country said we should be involved in fixing things for you. It’s bad news.

The good news is 1% of those who work with it teach teenagers how to grow food, cook it well, how to eat it, and how to share it. They train them how to build their capacity to have s voice in the system.
